I was amazed when I first read this article about twelve years old in minor age that he did success in his own project for the nonprofit organization. I do support for any minor ages, at least 12 or above age that they can do it whatever they want but as long it is ok with their parents. I want to ask you guys opinion, should we allow 12 years old to get a job just like 15 years old? They can learn how to be responsibility and save money for transportation or college in the funds. Many parents cannot afford sent their children to college. From my experience, I did start my job at 15 years old at Kroger, name of grocery store in Texas. I do not think there is anything wrong to do anything at these 12 years old. I am very impressed when I read this story about him. We need more of young people to development in many different ways to success.

I do encourage you guys to make any donation for this nonprofit organization.

What can you do?

  1. It is good for the children to develop their experience for working. My opinion is that the parents can give $20 to their children and the children can save the money for their future college. When the children becomes sixteen years old, they can have a job. Then they can earn and save money. That is great for them to save the money for college. It is really sad for the parents not to afford and pay college for their children because maybe their jobs with salaries are not enough to support and pay college. Life is fun, but money is not fun.

  2. I think it is a sticky issue. I think it is a great idea for a 12 year old to have an option to work young. But, I think if we change the laws then parents will find loopholes to force their kids to go to work early. In my state, we can start working at 14 years old with few hours and we can't work late at night. But, at the age of 16, we can work anytime and any hours. Some teenagers are being forced to work young by parents. It would be great to give children that option, but there would be a lot of loopholes where parents would force their children to work young, and the children wouldn't be happy.

  3. I think that a c twelve years old child could get a job that is about 10 hours a week with their parents' permission.. However, if they are forced to work then that is a completely different issue. Children at the age of 12 should also be able to volunteer, so this way they can get a chance to experience different areas of work.

  4. Honesty, I think 12 years old can to get a job with their parents permission but not like as 16 years old kind of jobs. I believe they can to get a job such as mow the grass, help out the neighborhood to paint the house, fence and take care of animals or babysitting. From my experience, I started to have a job when I was 11 years old. I took care of animals and help out with neighorhood. I saved alot of money but my parents didnt tell me to save it for my college. However, I had a job when I was 13 years old and started to work at small resturant but they did not put me as 16 years old's duty but I was busboy (suppose to called busgirl instead busboy), make sweet teas and to comfort customers. I only worked for 2 hours per day on the weekend.

  5. Yeah, we should allow twelve years old children to work as a part-time job, along with their parents' permission. To experience working, children can be able to learn how to be on their own and buy anything whatever they want so they would not have to depend on their parents' money. It is only up to children's decision if they want to get a job.

  6. This blog was interesting. It was kind of a refreshing change. It wasn’t something that scandalizing so I enjoyed the change. First of all, I think there is no problem with a twelve year old getting a job if 1) he wants it and if 2) he does it with the consent of his parents. If it doesn’t interfere with his personal life and his school life then it really shouldn’t be a problem. It is refreshing that someone who is that young really wants to take responsibility for himself and help others by working for a nonprofit organization. Young children are our future, if they take the initiative then that’s okay. It is no problem just as long as they don’t cross the line. They need to have a life too.

  7. I disagree for a child being forced to work. If they themselves want to work then that is their freedom, they should be able to make their own decisions without being forced.

Its a good blog, you have a good opinion.
